HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH started in 1996 with three employees at the Bad Salzungen location. Through continuous development, HAMMEL has grown into one of the world's leading companies, with several hundred employees, in the field of shredders and recycling technology.

HAMMEL develops efficient complete systems and special machines. Our competent team works closely with our customers and dealers to find the optimal and most reliable solution for their needs.

The assembly of HAMMEL products takes place centrally in our main plant in Bad Salzungen, Thuringia.

HAMMEL innovative

The world's first mobile scrap processing plant was developed and manufactured by HAMMEL. With this complete plant, it was possible for the first time to process mixed materials, such as car bodies, into material-separated end products.

Since then, developing our market-driven processing solutions has been our daily drive. This applies to all recycling areas such as wood, waste and scrap processing.

Even difficult tasks are no problem, materials such as railway sleepers with plates, wind turbine wings and dumper tires.

The local customers are individually advised and looked after by competent sales representatives. Since 2008 the company mwn GmbH is official service partner of the company SRS AG.

The BDSV represents the interests of German companies in the field of steel recycling and stands for the preservation of the environment and the conservation of raw material reserves. A key objective of the BDSV is the creation of economic and environmental framework conditions for the recycling industry.
